DONORS

Donors guarantee the continued success of first-generation students by contributing to ongoing programs at our affiliated universities. Donors can help in one or more ways:

  1. By sponsoring additional first-generation students to participate in First Scholars at an individual university site.
  2. By contributing to an endowment to ensure the ongoing success of First Scholars at an individual university site.
  3. By contributing to national model development and network expansion.

At this phase of our model development, each affiliated university launches its First Scholars program with a group of students. Each of these students receives the supports described in our program model, including direct financial assistace toward the student’s education. Based on our current growth plan, The Suder Foundation will support 440 scholars by 2014 at our various program sites. Each site is designed to serve more first-generation students than those supported by The Suder Foundation. By sponsoring additional first-generation students in First Scholars, donors not only enable more first-generation students to participate in the program but also impact scholars’ graduation rates.

Donors’ generous contributions at affiliated universities will increase the number of deserving first-generation students who benefit from this program. Please contact the appropriate giving officer to discuss how you can sustain the First Scholars program at one of the universities listed below.
